Christmas Time!

We went to our parents' house for Christmas this year! One benefit of having both mine and Mike's parents in the same town, is that there is less traveling for the holidays! Plus, it's nice to see everyone in one visit. My sisters, Tara & Heather and their families came, along with Mike's sisters, Shalise & Beth, with their families! It was all big, loud, chaotic, noisy fun as usual though! We had a very fun weekend and are very blessed to have spent it with so many family members. I know my mom went to a lot of trouble to ensure that every one's Christmas was good. Thanks Mom!

Here is my family at Christmas dinner!
Sydney's big gift from Santa this year was a PSP, just what she wanted! She played on it all weekend!

Livia got a really nice telescope from Santa! Now we just need a clear night so we can use it! We did use it for land-use though. She likes it a lot though. It was what she asked for also.

I got Mike Paintball stuff, which is the only thing he wanted, so there wasn't much surprise for him!

Can you guess what Mike surprised ME with?!?! He said, he wanted to get ME paintball stuff too, so we can go paintballing for date nights! Isn't he soooo romantic?!?! I don't think we will be going for date night, instead it will probablly be when I need to vent or he is in the dog house or something!! Either way, HE would be happy! :)
He redeemed himself though, and DID get me what I asked for too. An MP3 player, and a wool jacket. So I can't complain! We were all spoiled this year! We must have all been on Santa's nice list! :)

We had so much snow at my parents house. It snowed every day! By the time we left, the snow was as tall as their big trampoline! We had fun building forts and tunnels with it! The cousins all went on top of my parents' roof to play a couple of times! When they were done, they would just slide off and land in the snow! It was funny to watch! The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever! We hope everyone reading this also had a fun Christmas and that your New Year's is even better!

Usually our house is very festive this time of year, but we had to pack all of our Christmas stuff away already; so that we could start packing! We are moving into a house, still here in Moscow, just a few days after Christmas. Our house looks pretty pathetic and not Christmasy at all!

This is where our tree usually goes, but this year we have a pile of boxes instead! :(

The girls' room is so bare now! Our little apartment is so small, you have to dodge boxes everywhere you go.

Grandpa's Funeral

Last week, we all headed North for my Grandpa's Funeral. It was such a cold weekend, but it was nice to see so many relatives. I got to see my brother, Eugene, and his family, from Colorado, plus my sister, Amy, and her kids from Kansas! We don't get to see each other very often, so it was nice to be able to see them and see how big their kids are getting!!

Everyone had to bundle up at the funeral with blankets - it was barely 0 degrees. I put my snow pants on under my skirt! If you need proof that it was that cold, just look at the last picture!

It was a really good turn-out. The whole church was full! My Grandpa was definitely a well-like person!

Here was one of the kid tables.

Here's my dad with my sister's daughter; and my other sister, Tara in the background.

Here's one of my sisters, Amy, with Whitney again. She is the cutest baby ever! I wanted to bring her home with me!

Here is proof that it was FREEZING all weekend! I think the high all weekend was 5 degrees! That's North Idaho for you though I guess!

Stephen Calvin Holley

Here are some pictures of my Grandpa. He lived to be 80 years old, and was married for 60 years, and had 5 girls. He lived life to the fullest, able to do almost anything! He spent most his life being a mechanic and a logger; until he died from emphysema and pneumonia.

Here is my grandpa as a young boy.

Here is his high school graduation picture.

Here he is with my grandma, his high school sweetheart!

Here is a bunch of pictures from his life.

Here is my grandma with all 5 children.

Family Pictures

While we were all together, of course, we had to get family pictures! Everyone was there except for my sister, Heather and her family, due to illness and finals! Other than that, we all got to see each other, which only happens about once every 5 years!! All the cousins got along really well! It's nice that they are all close to the same ages. (Excpet for you Aly, you got to hang out with us though!) :)
