March 2014

In March, we got to go to South Padre Island and spend a couple of days at the beach. Mike's parents came for a visit and were able to come with us. It was SO beautiful there and we had such a fun time.

Brooklyn could've played in the sand for hours and hours. That was her favorite.

Don't be fooled by this picture, the water was pretty cold! :)
David made some hungry friends! :)
The beach was the prettiest and nicest beach I have ever seen! Such nice soft sand!

 Although, it was SUPER windy!!!

Even the pool was freezing! But that didn't stop my brave girls! :)

Mike and Livia had fun with their medal detector that they went in together on.
I think all they found was medal scraps and bottle caps :)

It was so nice of our friends to let us stay at their beach house, and have a beach fire with us!

We stopped at a really cool rest stop along the way.

Mike's dad, David, treated us all to a tour of the USS Lexington, also known as "The Blue Ghost," in Corpus Christi. It was pretty impressive.

I think Brooklyn liked the sand better than the enormous ship though :)

We also got to go to the Houston Rodeo this month.

You can tell by Brooke's red face that it was REALLY hot!! :0

After the rodeo, we saw The Band Perry

Mike and David drove around David's new Quad-Copter with Go-Pro for ariel shots.

One of my favorite shots, haha :)

Here's a few misc pics
I love this picture, cuz it shows what a great older sister Liva is :)

Did lots of raking this month
Which led to a punching bag...
Which led to a tree swing :)
Which led to a rope swing...
Which led to a hammock. Which stayed for about a week :) I love my creative kids! :)
The girls got to do some jumping around :)

Brooklyn "made" some friends for herself... poor girl needs friends! :)
We took Nana to the Boot Bar, (just in time for the rodeo) :-)
Which, of course, led to Sydney and Brooke getting a pair :) (Livia was too cool for any) :)
The girls love playing in the rain, because its warm and they get completely soaked.

Sydney's eye exam, determined that she needs new glasses, with a new prescription.
She was inspired by her cousin, Aly, and a lot of other kids, with the "geek chic" style that's so popular right now :) Isn't she such a cutie!?!? :)
