First Food!

Brooklyn is 6 months old, so we gave her rice cereal for the first time. Sydney actually got to feed her. She was so excited to and she did a great job! Brooky wasn't sure what to think at first, but I think she liked it by the end.

Christmas Pictures 2010

Here are the results from our family Christmas pictures this year. There are a few really funny ones:
I love Livia's face here! :)
I know what you are thinking..... red, white, & blue! Now we don't need to take new ones for the 4th of July! We're all set! :)
Poor Brooklyn.... crying one second, and laughing the next! She fits into our family so well!
Every time Brooky cried, our dog, Molly would come and try to snuggle her. It was actually really sweet, but Brooklyn HATED it when she came near! :)
Such a sorry face!!!

Meet Molly

A few months ago, (you may remember the blog post) I got a cat to avoid getting a dog, but somehow that didn't work. Plus the kitty cat stays in the garage or outside since he liked my kitchen table too much!!! Mike's sister was selling little boxer puppies that they bred, and Mike and the girls wanted her instantly! So, the sucker that I am..... agreed to getting her at a great deal! She is a full-bred Boxer with Brindle markings. It took us a few days to come up with a name, but we finally settled on Molly. She is 10 weeks old and VERY curious! She was the runt of the litter, so I'm hoping she stays mid-size. She is a sweet little puppy, but with piranha teeth, so the girls have to be careful when she gets playful. Now we just have to finish potty training her! Ugh! I feel like I have 2 infants with me during the day now! She's getting better. Slow but sure! I'm open to ANY SUGGESTIONS people may have on potty training and teething...........

Sledding & Decorating

We had a TON of snow, (before it melted all away!) :( But the girls made good use of it while it lasted! We were able to clear away enough brush for a pretty good sledding hill for the girls. It's actually pretty fast and fun! You can't tell, but it curves down past our house to the neighbors house even. I had to take a few rides down it! Plus, the girls can even sled at night since it is literally, right outside our back door.

We decorated for Christmas and put the "fake" tree up! My house feels a lot more like home now that it's full of Christmas decorations!
If you use your CSI skills, you can see that Mike is taking a picture of Livia through the ball with the tree blurred in the background. Cool picture Mike!
Love the earrings!!

Light Up The Night Parade

We went to Moscow's annual holiday parade. It was cold, short, but fun. We started the night at the Moscow Bagel & Deli Shop. Yum! And then walked right outside to where the parade was. Short & Sweet!

The girls liked watching the live ballerina's in the window. They were doing a good job posing for the crowd! It was so cute.

Poor Sydney took a drink of her hot cocoa, and her glasses immediately fogged up! It was pretty funny!

Odds & Ends

I was putting pics on my computer, and found a few blog worthy misc ones.

Poor Sydney jumped out of bed wrong, and hurt her foot. She had to miss school on Friday because it hurt if she walked on it. Poor girl! I'm not sure what happened, but I treated it like a sprain, and used the R.I.C.E. technique, which seemed to help. I think she stayed in her jammies until noon almost that day! ;)
It took me 11 years, but I finally decided to get a wedding picture printed! Mike talked me into a framed canvas wrap; which did turn out really nice I think!
I just love Brooklyn's huge smile & double chin!!
The girls made sugar cookies tonight!

They turned out really yummy!

Thanksgiving with the In-Laws!

Even though our parents only live 1 minute's drive from one another, we think it's a lot easier and less stressful if we take turns for the big holidays. So this year, we spent Thanksgiving with Mike's family. UUUGGGGHHHHH..... Naw.... I'm just kidding. I'm really lucky, because Mike's family is a lot of fun and easy going. Right up my alley! It was SUPER cold and snowy all week, which the kids liked. But it made for a VERY quick Turkey Bowl! By the time I got there, they were done! Just because it was only 10 degrees, they only played for an hour! Wimps! :) So I failed in the picture department this year, but I did get a picture of David charging our van's battery in the heavy snow! that's gotta count for something! :)

The kids played outside a bunch, but in short spurts; because of the cold. It was hurt your nose and freeze your snot when you breath cold!~

Heres all the ladies that made the magic happen! Food won't cook itself! (*unfortunately*)

Diana bought stuff for all the kids to make edible turkey's out of cookies, frosting, candy corn, and a chocolate covered cherry! Clever & yummy!

Of course, I made Diana & David break out the Christmas stuff before we left! I even made them rearrange their whole living room! But it looks good, and they like it too, (*hopefully*)!

Brooklyn LOVED dancing with her Nana! She was all smiles for a while!
