I love April Fools Day more than the rest of my family.
Probably because I'm the one pranking everyone else. HAHA!!!
(These veggies are inside of a donut box!)
This one got the girls pretty good! LOL
This one only got Brooke. The older girls have had this prank already, a couple times! lol
We decided to have a garage sale since we've decided to move to Spokane Washington this summer!
Brooke decided to have her own yard sale later. She grabbed a few toys and priced them from $20-$100 each! HAHAHA
Fun times at Jody's.
Being Brooke's Homeroom Parent for their classroom, I got to go help out at their fun run.
It was my job to bring and decorate a cooler. This is what I came up with. :)
Brooke ran great, especially since it was so hot outside! She loved the sign I made her. :)
This was a super fun date night! It was downtown Houston at iPic, an upscale movie theater with lounge chairs and waiters. We had a blast with the Lanes.
The three girls had dentist appointments. Brooke was SUPER happy that she didn't have any cavities!
Livia and Sydney wish they were as lucky!!
We helped the church put on a young women's fundraiser for girls camp.
(Since I work with the YW for my calling and I get to go to girls camp!)
Mike was the auctioneer for the night. He did a great job, but he ended up buying TWO of the baskets being auctioned!
This month has been a VERY wet month! Several areas around us are flooding. Several peoples homes and businesses flooded. It's actually a huge mess! The girls missed 3 days of school because of this.
This is our temple. It was flooded all around it, but it never flooded inside thank goodness! It was closed for almost two weeks though.
This is the temple that a photographer took of the flooded Houston Temple. He sold them later.
You can see how high the water got in this park!
Our street wasn't bad, so we could get in and out okay, but this was just a couple blocks down.
Here's an aerial shot of some homes by us. Super sad all these homes flooded!
You can see the car that got flooded here.
We didn't have any flooding, just a really wet, soggy yard for a while.
This is a picture I took just down the street from us.
Because of all the flooding, some of the neighborhoods became un-drivable, so people used some rickety boards to get in and out. We helped two families in our ward who's homes flooded pretty bad.
It was a sad sight seeing huge piles of people's belongings and their homes gutted out! Some of the homes sat like that for weeks until the trucks could come and haul away the garbage.
We found some extra turtles that came in our neighborhood from all the storms, so Brooke loved rescuing them and cleaning them up. (We were just glad that we got turtles, and not snakes, fire ants, and even gators like other people had!)
Before all the flooding started, we took the kids to the beach (Galveston) and had a fun day.
We found a delicious hole in the wall taco place. It is now our favorite place to eat there!
And of course, a stop at Bucee's! :)
Sydney and I got to have some one-on-one time. The salon and lunch!

In the spring there are big, beautiful Monarch butterflies EVERYWHERE! It's so cool. This one decided to land on Livia! HAHA
This face-swap app is hilarious, of Mike and Sydney! :D
Here's a few random pics
