Kentucky Trip

With the help of my parents and Mammaw, we were able to ALL go to Kentucky for 9 days! It was so much fun! I decided to break it up in days though to show everyone all the things we did, so my posts are pretty long! (*sorry*) We left on a Friday and got home on Saturday. Here are a few pics of us traveling. Our first flight out of Spokane was super early. It flew out at 6:30, so we had to leave Moscow by 2:30! the kids did REALLY well though!
Ate breakfast in between flights in Denver.
It was pretty fun, and all the kids were really good about carrying their own carry-on bags and helping out with Brooky. It was pretty smooth!

Saturday

On Saturday, we went swimming all day at Green River Lake. The water was SOOOO warm. It was like taking a bath! You know it was warm if my mom goes in! :) It was fun. We all got to use a Pontoon boat with a slide, so the kids really liked it! ;)
One of their friends took some of us tubing. That was fun. I don't think anyone got tipped though! :)
If you could zoom in, you would see that I'm white knuckling it! ;)
This is kind of hard to tell, but this is Mike tubing.
The kids had to wear their life jackets on and off the boat the whole day!!!!! Brooklyn didn't care too much for hers. :(
She loved the water though. It was just like her bath water!
Poor Brooklyn got a little chafed though on her arms, because she could barley reach her mouth! :) The girls did too, so they ended up putting mine and Mike's shirts under their life jackets. It was a fun day though!

Sunday

On Sunday, we went to church, which was a BRANCH, so it was very small. A man had to unlock a room that they never use just so I could change a diaper, cuz they didn't even have a mother's lounge or a changing table in the bathroom! :) Anyway..... we hung out at my parents house on Sunday for a little bit, and then went to my Mammaw's with everyone for a get-together dinner! Here are a few misc pics at my parents' house in Ky.
The girls (and Mike) freaked out when they saw that my mom found them some CAFFEINE FREE Mountain Dew! They drank nothing else the whole trip!
They had so many hummingbirds, that they would almost go through a whole thing of sugar water a day!
My dad had a TON of tomatoes! We made salsa twice, and gave a big bucket of them to Philip, and we still left some on the vines when we left!
We only ate breakfast outside once, because it would get so hot so quick! But it was nice when we did! ;)
This is their front view. Very pretty!
No matter where he goes, he'll always mow wearing a straw hat! :) hee hee

Monday

On Monday we spent the day at my Uncle Philips and aunt Shirley's house, or how Livia says it, (Shirlup & Philys) :) Here's my Uncle Philip in "true form"! :)
It's almost disturbingly fitting on my dad!
There's my hero!.......<3
Every time we wanted to take pics outside, the camera would fog up like this, because of the humidity outside. so we had to wait 10-15 min for the camera to adjust to the changing temps!
Corn Hoe is big out there I guess! ;)
Gettin ready to eat!
Mike with my cousin Andy
My Uncle Larry and my cousin Doug
My Aunt Shirley (with a knife! BEWARE!) ;)
My dad really isn't punching Brooklyn, I promise! :) he is trying to cheer her up by giving her "knuckles", she likes that (usually!)
My cousin Jaime
The girls liked their house the best, because they have a pool! :)

Tuesday

On Tuesday, Mike, Brooklyn, & I went to the National Corvette Museum, in Bowling Green, Ky, while my mom & dad took Liv & Syd to Dinosaur World! They had fun they said. They got to see lots of life-sized dinosaurs and dig for teeth & fossils and keep a few. We had fun at the museum as well, although they didn't let US keep anything! They could of at least let us have a Corvette! :)
This is my dream car that I want someday!
And this is one of Mike's! (He has more than one favorite) :)

After the museum, we went to Mammoth Cave. It was very interesting. I enjoyed that more than anyone I think. It is the longest cave in the world! Even of you put the 2 second longest together, Mammoth cave STILL is longer, and they are still discovering tunnels in it today!
They had "Fat Man's Misery", where the path gets narrow! And they have "Tall Man's Misery", obviously because it gets short!
Our tour was 2 hours, so they somehow built a bathroom down there! Which Sydney was glad about! :)
There was writing on the wall that went back to the early 1800's!
It was pretty amazing to see, and my dad was right, there were a LOT of stairs! Around 500! ;) Afterwards, we were able to rock away at the Cracker Barrel! Another great restaurant where I over-indulged! :)
