Livia Singing Downtown

On Saturday, Livia's school kicked off a city celebration of unity, and they sang some Earth songs downtown. It was really cold and windy outside, but it was cute to see all the kids sing. Good job Livia!

Livia's music teacher saw my niece, Tamara in the crowd, and talked her into signing too. Plus, the teacher put the microphone right up to Tamara while singing. It was pretty funny, but Tamara can sure sing good! Good job girls!

Family Visits

My parents came to Moscow to visit all of us girls, along with my Mammaw, who is visiting all the way from Kentucky! It was so nice to see her. I haven't seen her in years! My girls were pretty excited to see her as well. Here are some pictures of all of us.

My mammaw bought Sydney a puppet elephant, that we had too much fun with. My sister, Heather and I even put on a puppet show for everyone! We all had some good laughs!

Seattle Trip

On Monday, we drove to Seattle and back in the SAME DAY!!! That was one of Mike's NOT so brillant ideas. Sorry honey, but it's true! ;) We went because Sydney had another eye appointment. It's really in Issaquah, so it's only about 4 1/2 hours from Moscow, but becuase we had the girls with us, we stopped a lot! It ended up taking close to 12 hours total! Sydney's appointment went good. It turns out that this doctor might know what she's talking about. Sydney hit a plateau, where her eyes had no improvement for a year. So our new Dr suggested using eye drops on the weekends and less patching time during the week, and she actually had improvement over the last 2 months! YEAH! Her vision was stuck at around 20/70 and now it's 20/60. So we are REALLY happy about that!

Here are some pictures from our LONG trip. And yes, that IS SNOW you are seeing! The Snoqualmie pass had a TON of snow still! A lot of the houses and signs were still mostly covered! Because Mike's car is more reliable than mine, we had to drive the Camaro. During part of the trip, Mike wanted to take the T-tops off and have all the windows down! (I think he was getting tired). So that's why the girls' hair is all over the place in those 2 pictures.

Girls' School Pictures

Because we are starting our own Photography Business (See Post Below), Mike wanted to take the girls' school pictures ourselves, instead of the school. They turned out pretty cute.

Livia Dean - 2nd Grade - 8 years old

Sydney Dean - Preschool - 5 years old

Here are just a few pictures of Sydney posing! When the camera comes out, so does her "glam poses" It's pretty funny. She's always making us laugh!

Open for Business!

We are officially OPEN for Business! Mike & I have always been interested in photography, our whole marriage. (Almost 10 years now!) I even went to school for it for a year. We've talked about starting our own business someday, so.... we just decided to finally do it! We ordered our camera equipment and have been taking a TON of pictures! We decided to go with the Canon 40D. (We are Canon people!) I am still getting used to the back buttons. It's a lot different from our Cannon Rebel we had for a long time. But it seems to be taking really good pictures. Sooo, if you want to know more, Mike started a photography blog. www.deanphotographyblog.blogspot.com. Our website isn't up and running quite yet, but Mike will finish it soon. It will be www.deanphotographs.com. In the meantime, we are trying to build our portfolio, SOO... if anyone wants a really good deal on pictures, along with a FREE 8 x 10, let us know! Because we don't have a studio yet, we shoot pictures outside, but we have been finding some great locations! I will let everyone know when the website gets done so you can see some of our pictures.

Easter at Mammaw's & Pappaw's

Because both mine and Mike's parents live in the same little town and are only 2 minutes apart from one another, we always get to do everything twice! So we got to have 2 Easter celebrations as well. So, I decided to break it up into 2 different categories for my blog. This post is pictures from time we spent with my side of the family. My dad wasn't able to be there, because he is visiting his family in Kentucky. But, we got to see my mom, and my other 2 sisters and their families came as well. It was a lot of fun. We always have a fun & chaotic time when we get together. The first pictures are of Easter morning, before church.

Can you tell I am proud of the girls' hair?!! Livia's took me like 20 minutes!! Didn't they turn out so cute though. I was so proud of myself. I got the idea from this blog and my sister made me the hair bows to match their dresses. Thanks Heather. If you want to see more of her bows, click here.

We decided to have a big Easter breakfast instead of dinner, since church didn't start until 1pm, and we all had to travel back home after church. It was really good though. (Plus we had a big Easter dinner the night before at Mike's parents' house!) :)

Sydney is so thoughtful. She thought to leave carrots for the Easter Bunny all by herself! You can even see bite marks and claw marks from the Easter Bunny in the picture!

Here are a few pics of us dying Easter eggs the night before.

Okay, these pictures needs explained... My parent's just got back from Mexico on a cruise. I asked my dad to bring me back a Mexican Senorita dress, so he did. He bought one for me and my other sister, Heather, and my mom also bought one. Here we are modeling in them. They are all even hand stitched! Thanks for the souvenir dad, Love and miss you! :)

Here are the kids with their new shirts on too.
