New Family Thing

The girls are totally into Littlest Pet Shop Monopoly lately. We don't have the game, so we've been borrowing it from my sister. The girls LOVE it and it lasts for HOURS!!!!! I'm surprised they stay involved for so long. I always talk them into playing the "quick" way where you just pass all the property out. It's pretty funny, plus it's a good way for the girls to think about strategy, money value, and work on their math skills. I think I know what they will ask for for Christmas!

Here, Mike and Livia are making a deal!

Fall Harvest Festival

We went to a fall harvest festival last weekend. They advertised it as this huge thing, when really it was quite small, but the kids still had fun, and we got to spend the day together.

Tamara's trying to rope the "bull"

The girls were a little too tall for the hay maze! :)

Cool Flip-Shades!!!

Sydney has a hard time wearing sunglasses because she tries to wear them OVER her regular glasses. Plus on the weekends, we dialate her strong eye, so it becomes very sensitive to light. SOOOOO..... this is our solution! We bought her flip-shades that fit on top of her glasses!!! They are sooo funny. They crack me up!!! She looks cute in anything! though!! ;)

5-Day Weekend

The girls didn't have school on Wed, Thurs, or Friday! So we decided to head North. We first stopped at an apple orchard and picked apples and small pumpkins.

The girls painted their pumpkins and did a really good job too! But, I made the mistake of putting them outside, because the rain washed all the paint off! Whoops!

We also helped my parents with a few chores around the house and helped them "winterize" their outdoor stuff! (Winter comes quick here in the North!)

The girls had a good excuse NOT to help out with the work though, they got sick! ALL WEEKEND!!! They actually have been sick for almost a week now, but they will BOTH be going to school tomorrow!!!! YEAH!!!

We also celebrated my dad's birthday. He's officially an OLD MAN!! But a fun one!! The grand kids just love him!
