May 2013

Here's the month of May (in a nutshell):

Sydney played Soccer, and did a GREAT job. I kind-a coaxed her into it, but she really was one of the better ones on the team so she decided she did like it and wants to play again... phew! :) Brooky liked going early and playing on the playground during practice time.

Of course, the celebratory frozen yogurt at Jamm's after the last game! :)

For Mother's Day, we went on a 3-mile hike with some friends, on Moscow Mountain. It was a great day for a hike, and Brooky actually did really good. She walked most the way. ;)
She was so brave, she would stop and want to actually TOUCH the bugs and beetles!
Brooky kept making faces in our picture! Silly nut-ball! Plus, if you look hard, you can probably notice that her pants are a little wet... She had her first experience of peeing outside! I was surprised that she actually did it! We just weren't quite fast enough, so her pants got a little wet! :) I was still very impressed! She reminds me more of Sydney than Livia, with her bug touching and outdoor peeing! :) lol
This is Brooky's little frenemy. They're so cute together. :)
Mike and the girlies got me these beautiful flowers for mothers day, along with breakfast made for me! :)
I love my family so much!

We went to Seattle to visit Tara and Tamara over the long Memorial Day weekend. We had so much fun. It rained practically the whole time we were there, but we still made the most of it! :)

We went on the wharf and visited all the little shops, fed the seagulls, rode the carousel, Saw the Seattle Wheel, ate at Ivar's (of course) :) and added gum to the gum wall.

We spent a LOT of time in the car! The girls all did great though, especially little Brooky! She did amazing for a 2 year old. (Although, she did have her movie player, which was a HUGE help!) :)
Tara surprised us with a trip over to Ocean Shores, where we got to stay in a hotel right off the beach. It was a  nice hotel with the best free breakfast I've ever seen! :) They had EVERYTHING! :) Brooklyn couldn't get enough of the elevators there, it was cute.
The girls all loved playing on the beach, in the rain. We didn't find any seashells, but the girls found TONS of Sand dollars. Lots of whole ones even. It was cool.

The girls liked be able to drive right on the beach, until we got pulled over! (Who knew the beach was considered a highway, and you couldn't drive towards the birds to make them fly away!?!) Luckily, we just got a warning. :) The girls blew bubbles in the back and the bubbles would just bounce off the wet sand. It was the coolest thing! :)

Mike and I got to go on a date, and I finally got to eat at the Cheesecake Factory for the first time! It was really yummy! Very Fattening! But very yummy! Then we got to go see the new Star Trek movie in 3-D. It was a great night. Thanks for babysitting Tara! :)
Plus, we got to stop and see Mike's Sister, Beth, and her family. Brooky loved playing with her cousin Emma!

Lastly, here are some Random Pictures from May:

We had a week that was really hot towards the beginning of May! So the girls made the most of it. They built themselves a little fort outside, Along with weapons to guard it! (You can see Sydney's bow & arrow) :)

Sydney learned how to make a fire, all by herself! :)

The girls playing in the sprinkler and trampoline.

Brooky posing on our way from the gym.

We had a girls day, where we went and did some light shopping and lunch at Qdoba.

Brooklyn decided that she wanted to marry daddy, so she waited all day until he got home from work, and she made him dress up and have a little ceremony. It was so funny, and cute. :) Mike was a good sport and played along.

Poor Brooky has been in the corner a lot this month! :( Her two's haven't been too terrible, but all of a sudden she is testing the waters with everything!) Hopefully it's a short phase! She looks so sad and pathetic though, esp when she is wearing her brace; plus she thinks she has to literally touch her nose to the corner! :(

Sydney's been straightening her hair a lot more this month. Man, it's getting long! This is after I just trimmed an inch off! Jeesh!

Livia got to go to the Temple for the very first time! (with her friend, Mariah)! I was sad that I had to miss it, (I had a stake youth hike I was in charge of), but Mike was able to go and help out, and he actually got to do the baptisms! :) She is turning into such a well-rounded little lady! *sniff sniff*

Mike had Livia mow our "lawn" for the first time! Which was not easy! Our yard is very lumpy, and consists of mostly weeds, but Livia did a really good job! :)

Brooky loves to wear her rain boots after it's rained! :)
Mike and I started walking every night this month, (as part of our 30-day challenge) We both enjoyed it so much, that we are continuing to do so. Brooklyn weaseled her way on our walk just a few times. We get to see some really pretty sunsets sometimes! I'm so grateful that I have such a stellar husband to walk with! :)
