March 2015

 This month started with me and Livia running in the Bayou City Classic 10K race with our friends, the Lane Family. 

 

 

 

 Livia and her friend, Ashlynn, finished 2nd and 3rd in their age division! :)

 The girls got to have a break from school this month. We stayed home and did different fun stuff during their Spring Break. It was a lot of fun. I love spending time with my girls.

We got pedicures to kick off shorts and sandal weather! ;)

 Livia introduced her new favorite drink to us at Starbucks... the cream-based double chocolate chip frappuccino. it was pretty yummy. :)

 Took the girls shopping for new Easter dresses and shoes.

 Brooklyn loved trying a dress on and staring at herself in the 3-way mirror.... lol

 Of course, Bahama Bucks! The girls LOVE this place! :)

 Cosmic Jump!

 Took them to the theater to see Cinderella with friends. I thought it was a cute movie. :)

 The girls had some sleep-overs (with forts)!

 Went to the beach one day. It was a nice day, but it got a little windy and the water was still REALLY Cold. Only Sydney and her friend, Laci, were brave enough to venture out in it. ;)

 

 

 

 

We also all went to the Rodeo. It was a PERFECT day. Not too hot like last year, and not too crowded either! :)   We started with the outdoor rides and festivities!

 

 

 

  Brooke's favorite "ride" was the ponies :)

 

 

 

  Then inside for the Rodeo

 My favorite part of the rodeo is the bull riding and the cattle wrangling.
SO FUNNY watching the kids try to catch a calf! =)

 Then came Tim McGraw! :) He was a great performer.

 

 

The Lane family invited us to our first craw fish boil this month! It was a lot of fun! 

There was a blow-up boxing ring that everyone had a fun time with.

  We played this... Sumo Wrestling with bubble wrap? A LOT of fun!!!! :)

We all enjoyed slushies!

 

 And, of course, we tried the craw fish and learned the right way to shell them.

 

 We shelled a TON of them! :) They're actually not too bad!

 

 We played yard Yahtzee.

 And roasted marshmallows over a bonfire.

No other craw fish boil will compare :) We had a great time with friends!

 Mike's friend invited him to one of the sweet sixteen games, and got to see Gonzaga play.
He was pretty stoked about that!

 Sydney and Brooklyn got a make-over with their new favorite babysitter!

 The pictures were so cute! I love them! :)

 

Now that the weather is warming up, we love to walk and bike the trails.

Mike bought a big fishing net that the girls (and Mike) like to use to catch turtles. 

Their are turtles everywhere! :) 

 They brought two grimy turtles back to the yard and cleaned them up. :)

 Good as new!! :)

 We've gotten a lot of rain lately, which floods everything!

 

 Mike and Brooke like to work with tools together.

 

Here's Brooklyn and her "popcorn" tree. She was so excited when she saw it, 

she thought there might be real popcorn! And asked me if she could eat some. 

She was a little disappointed when we got closer. :) Love this kid!
