Science Fair

It's that time of year again. Sydney decided to do a science project, but we couldn't get Livia to do one. She didn't have an interest. (aka: her friends weren't doing it). She helped Sydney race her balloon rockets though. Sydney had fun doing it, she did hers on balloon rockets!

Sydney did a presentation for the judges, but she didn't want me to watch her, so I watched from a distance, but she looked like she was doing good.

Tamara did one too on liquid layers. She said that she blew the judges away with her cool presentation!

Of course, they got a free tee-shirt. Good job girls!

Poor Tamara!

We get to have my niece, Tamara hang out with us at our house after school everyday, which the girls LOVE! (When she doesn't have too much homework or reading to do!) I'm amazed how much homework 5 graders have!!! Poor Tamara had to read a very large book with over 300 pages in a short period of time! So every day after school last week she was reading! Her goal was almost 30 pages a day to get done by Monday, which was the due date! So I had to get pics of her reading. I thought it was funny because she would choose a new place to read everyday!

Outside in the back, by the BBQ!

In our garage studio with a bean bag!

Out in the front, on the curb of the cul-de-sac!

On the floor with her dollies!

And she is FINALLY DONE!!!

She finished just the night before the due date! Just in time! Good Job Tamara! I don't think I could have done it!

Mike: The Handyman

Our van needed some work done on it, yes already! We've only had it for a few months now, but that's what we get for buying used I guess. Poor Mike would come home from work and start on the van, even in the dark. We had an estimate of a couple grand, of course, so Mike decided to do it all himself! It's nice to be married to a handyman who can fix "stuff" like this. Him & his dad would work on things growing up, but a lot of it came from us never having the extra money, so Mike has had to learn as each problem arose, and he has done a marvelous job each time! Good job Mike. Thanks for being such a rock star!!

Which Baby Name?

I started a new poll (on my sidebar). The last poll was tied between Brooklyn & "none of these", so I started a new one between Brooklyn & my new favorite name of the week, Jade (or maybe Jayden for a longer version of Jade). Let me know what you guys think.

Spring Break

We went to a resort for part of the girls' spring break with my family. We got to take Tamara with us, so she's in a bunch of pics too. We had fun swimming, playing games, & visiting with family. Here's the goods:

I survived!

I am at 28 weeks, therefore, I had to endure another glucose screening test this morning! The drink itself doesn't taste that bad, but it leaves a wicked aftertaste. Plus anything sweet makes me sick this pregnancy, so I was not a happy camper this morning! But.... I survived, without throwing up even, like I did with Livia. So after drinking a nasty sweet beverage within 5 minutes, waiting an hour and having my blood drawn twice plus a shot in my butt, because I am Rh negative. I felt pretty picked on! I didn't get much sympathy from Mike or the girls, so I just wanted to whine and complain publicly I guess! :)

I don't know the results yet, but I'm not expecting any problems since I never developed gestational diabetes with the other 2 girls.

Livia

Livia always brightens up my day! She is very helpful around the house and understands basic things, which makes it easy to talk to her and fun to do things with. I guess she's just maturing and growing up! Here are a few cute pics of her!

She actually went to school wearing this one day! She said that her friends didn't even recognize her! She's funny!

Sydney

After Sydney gets home from Kindergarten, her & I hang out for 3 hours before getting Livia & Tamara from school. Here are just a couple things she is "into" lately.

Ever since I have been pregnant, she has gotten back into playing mommy to her baby. She feeds it, helps it go potty, walks it, and even bathes it. She's getting good practice so she can help with her little sister!

Another all time favorite, is experimenting! She will have me give her random things and she will mix her concoctions. I try to make sure it is all eatable. (Like flour, sugars, cornstarch, food coloring, baking soda, seasonings, etc) But sometimes, she likes to make her own "hand sanitizer" out of lotion, soap, and hand sanitizer. She's very funny, but very creative.

We do "other" things too. Yesterday, she was my mommy and I was a teenager, and she threw me a birthday party. Then we went "fishing". Last week, we went "shopping" together and she tried on different outfits (mine and hers mixed) to see which ones I liked best. Now I have to go, because she has dressed up all fancy & she is waiting for me to dance with her! She definitely makes for interesting afternoons, but these afternoons will be what I miss when she is older! :)

Track & Field Day Camp

We tried the basketball clinic, so now we wanted to see how our girls liked Track & Field. They liked it much better! They got to run, jump, & throw with the U of I track athletes. Our goal is to expose them to all the different kinds of sports, in hopes that they will find 1 or 2 that they will really enjoy.
