Sister Visits!

My sister & niece visited from Seattle a while ago (since I haven't blogged in a while!) :) It was so good to see both of them! I miss them TONS! Here's a few pics of the weekend.

My neices, Tamara & Kaity
The kids got to play outside on a surprisingly nice day!
Brooklyn learned to kiss. She would even lean in for it! Super cute kissing Pappaw!
Brooky kissing Autie Tara!
Love that smile! Good pic with her Auntie!

Weekend Misc

Mike's parents came down for a weekend visit and brought our niece with them. It was good to see them all. The girls made their "spa" again for Kiauna! Although, I think they had the water too hot, because when she got out, her feet and ankles were SOOO red, poor girl!
Brooklyn and her Nana! Always a good combo!

Science Projects

Every year, the science fair sneaks up on us, and we end up having one day to do a project in. So, this year, I decided that wouldn't happen. I even told the girls and we started planning it early! But somehow.... I have no idea.... all of a sudden..... it was due the next day! So guess what we did last Saturday and Sunday!? Science Projects! I'm just glad I remembered before Sunday, so we could buy the boards on Saturday! We got both projects done and all went well though. Maybe NEXT year, we will actually be on top of things! :)

Livia did hers on the properties of water, so there was a lot of freezing, melting, & boiling going on. It was a super easy one, just time consuming. I told Livia that next year she needed to actually try a little harder though. ;)

Sydney did hers on paper airplanes. Which one flew the best out of 10 different ones we found on a website. She had a lot of fun with it. Livia did too.
They both walked away with a certification of completion, a blue ribbon, and a T-shirt. (Just like all the other kids!) ;) I'm glad they wanted to do one though. Apparently Livia was one of the only girls in 4th grade to do one!

Spring Break

The girls and I traveled north to visit my family. It was fun, because it was calm and relaxing! We played games, visited with family, and we got to go swimming one day with Mike's mom! The girls had a blast. Even little Brooky loved swimming. I bought her this water toy, and she would suck on the inflatable flower and walk all over the shallow area where she could touch. It was super cute!
The girls were posing silly because they were so excited that they were "finally" going to get to go rock climbing. They did really well. They both made it farther than they had last year. I would post pics of them, but my camera battery died right after I took this picture! :)

Basketball is Over!

The girls did a VERY good job with basketball this year! Livia REALLY grasped the game this year and did amazing! This was Sydney's first year, and she too picked it up extremely well. She was a little firecracker on the court! I was surprised how well they both did. They were sad that the season had to end. Good job girls! Mike was the assistant coach for Livia's team.

This & That

My parents came to Moscow to visit, so here is a pic of us playing a game. It was nice to see them. My dad sure has lost a lot of weight and looks so skinny now! Good job pops! Remember, slow & steady wins the race!
Brooklyn is examining the pea.....
Must have passed the test. She LOVED them!
Sydney got new eyeglasses. This pair are transitions, which is nice since they turn into sunglasses automatically outside!
She LOVED these pair. It's hard to tell but they are purple! She's so cute!
Sydney made Brooklyn a friendship bracelet 1 1/2 months ago, and it still fits her! She's had it on ever since! I think it's so cute. I check it everyday to make sure it isn't snug, and so far it's still good. Sometimes she sucks on in like in this pic. Pretty soon I'll cut it off and stick it in her baby book! :)
She is really good at sitting up and playing now. her new favorite thing is emptying things out. Diaper bags, laundry baskets, craft tubs, etc.
Here's Molly. She is getting big. She LOVES her little ducky that squeaks. I have to wash it weekly because it gets so icky!
And here's Mike's new favorite thing. He plugs his laptop into the TV and uses that as his monitor. As if his 2 office monitors weren't enough, now he has to take up our big screen! Although, I must admit I'm not surprised.... except that he hasn't done this sooner...
When my parents came to visit they saw how everything was too small or too tight on Brooklyn, so they bought her some new clothes! Size 12-18 month clothing, even though she is only 9 months! She is a chubby babe! Here's one of her new outfits. We like to call her our frosty nerd when she wears it. ;) Thanks mom & dad!

Valentines Day

Mike & I celebrated V-day the weekend prior to it, by eating at the Red Binto. It was better than I thought it would be. It is a newer place in Moscow that specializes in authentic Asian food. I got teriyaki chicken, but we also has sushi, which was a first for me. The Tuna was okay, but the rest were more Mike's style! :) On V-day, I made Manicotti and the girls and I decorated the kitchen/dining room. They thought it was way cool and "romantic" because of all the lit candles we put on the table and bar. It was funny.

The recipe was super good and easy though. Here is the RECIPE if anyone wants it.
