Buckle-up!! The month of June was a busy one!
At the end of the school year, Livia received an award for being an outstanding writer! Both the girls did well in school this year.
We celebrated "Kid Appreciation Day" the first Saturday of June! :)
We went fishing at our friends house, along with all the Faith-in-God girls, (since that is one of my callings and it seemed like a great way to end the school year). All the little girls had a blast and each caught over 20 fish... each!! :)
We've been to a lot of different parks this summer, since it's one of B's most favorite things to do.
We've walked the arboretum a few times...
We even found a turtle this trip.
Diana and I took the girls to the circus.
(Here's mine and Heather's kids watching other kids ride the ponies, since their mean mommies wouldn't spend $10 per kid to ride them for 1 minute!! ) :)
Livia played in a 3x3 basketball tournament. (a smaller version of Hoopfest in Spokane). She played really well. They unfortunately lost every game they played, but they were the youngest and smallest girl team to play! :) They still played amazing though.
Here's her team.
Mike's car finally died..... for sure this time! He spent many hours trying to fix it, and then a few more hours with David, but it is too far gone! :(
I made Sydney a square circle skirt, so Livia wanted one, so here it is! :)
Brooky still goes to Gymnastics during the summer, and LOVES it! She has gotten really well too! I swear it is just like physical therapy, if not better, and WAY cheaper! :)
We got into a donut making mode and made a couple batches with our deep fryer. They were delicious!
We've gone bowling a couple times this summer so far. It's a fun cheap thing to do for us, because in the summer kids can bowl 2 games every day for free! Plus we paid a flat fee of $10 allowing Mike and I to also participate; and we have our own shoes, thanks to Amazon and yard sales, so it's free!!! :) It's a great program, you should check it out. It's kidsbowlfree.com
We had family come and visit us, thanks to Matthew's baptism!
My dad made delicious rhubarb pies!
It was a nice warm weekend.
Brooklyn is getting old enough to play with Kaity now :) It's so cute.
Early birthday presents for Brooky :)
Of course, we did family pictures while so many of us were together!
Brooky turned 3 on the 13th this month! Time really goes quickly!
We went and saw "The Croods" at the cheap kids theater on her birthday. (It was a cute movie)
She chose a pink "My Little Pony" birthday theme.
I let her decorate her own cake.
More Presents....
Birthday Cake
Later in June, it got REALLY HOT!!! So we went to Hells Gate State Park in Lewiston and played.
And lastly, at the very end of the month, we decided (at the last minute) to go camping. We went with our friends, the Pope's, and had a lot of fun. It wasn't the original place we wanted to camp, but because of some truck problems, we decided to camp closer to home. It was our first "City Camping"! :) But despite the dirty reservoir, the rocky tent floor, the small camp spaces, and the huge thunderstorm, we all had a lot of fun, and it was good to hang out with friends. :)
That was the month of June.... in a nutshell! :)
