 We went to the Houston Zoo this month

 The pink flamingos REALLY stunk! So now, when something stinks really bad, Brooklyn says, "Peeeww... it stinks like flamingos!" hahaha  :)

 We were SO glad we found this splash pad, 'cuz it was so hot and sticky!

Brooke participated in swim lessons through the YMCA, and did really really well!

 

Brooke loves driving and riding, in her car! :)

 Sydney and Mike started a bookshelf this month.
I love the daddy-daughter bonding time! :)

 Here's some volleyball pics of the girls

 They played really well this season! 

I was especially proud of Sydney, because she was the only 4th grader. All the other girls were in 7th and 8th grade! She kept up and played great and really improved!

I had a great Mother's Day. The family spoiled me, by doing the dishes and the cooking! :)

 And, they know how I LOVE service coupons! They're my favorite! :)

 We ended the day with a hot sweaty walk to the duck pond and park :)

We went to Galveston and played at the beach. It was a little windy, but we still had a great time and the water was warm enough to swim in.

 Poor Mike was on call and had to do some work in the hot suburban.. :(

But, when he's not on call, he gets to have Friday's off during the summer and has 3-day weekends!

For Easter, Brooklyn was able to go to an Egg Hunt with her friends. 

 We made little cupcake Easter baskets

 We died eggs

 And the girls were lucky enough to wake up to a few Easter surprises on Sunday morning :)

 And find the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid :)

 I try to take a picture of the girls before or church on Easter; with their new Easter dresses. 

I'm not sure where Livia's picture went, (I think she deleted it off my phone) :|

 And of course, little Brooky

 Yes, Dad. We went to church! =) haha

 We came home and had a yummy Easter dinner! Ham is my favorite! 

 With home-made lemonade ;)

Brooklyn loves her new friend, Taylor. They love playing together. 

 They LOVE playing at the park, feeding the ducks, and seeing the babies chicks and turtles

 We see turtles and frogs ALL over the place. In our yard and garden. At the parks. 

In our ponds, and ditches, and even in the roads!

 Mike outside, BBQ-ing. (We are really missing our BBQ that we sold before moving)

 We have replaced some of the things we sold, from yard sales here :)

 We even replaced our basketball hoop :)

 We got our garden started, and it's coming in nicely. Things sure grow fast here in Texas!

 

 The girls are both on the same volleyball team, through the YMCA; that Mike is actually coaching. They are both doing really well and Mike is a great coach!

We've been doing LOTS of mowing already! We give the girls an opportunity to do it to earn some money. I love that they are in the rotation now, 'cuz we have to mow every other week. :0

  We took another fun trip to explore Old Tomball.

 It was really hot!

 We bought one of those small pet carriers, 'cuz we have a new pet every week. 

This week it's a skink! :)

 The girls have started swimming this month, since it's already been getting so hot! 

This picture cracks me up though, 'cuz Brooke is swimming naked, and Syd has ALL her clothes on! HAHAHA... crazy girls! :)

Poor Mike has to work on his car every month, just to keep it running :(

Some day he'll miss having a clunker, right?!?!
