Funny Story

For a few weeks now, Livia keeps correcting herself when she accidentally calls me mommy. She has informed me that she is now going to call me mom! I always tell her no, that she's not allowed to, and that I won't answer unless she says mommy! Well the other day, Sydney was playing with her baby, and she kept hollering "Grandma!" Finally she comes to find me and asks me why I won't answer. She said that I am the grandma in her game and she needed me to babysit! It was a very wierd feeling to be called grandma all afternoon. Now, when Livia calls me mom it's not quite so bad. It sounds a LOT better than grandma anyway!

Memorial Day Hike

For Memorial Day, we went on a hike with some of our neighbors to Kamiak Butte near the Palouse. We hiked the 3.5 mile loop. All the kids did pretty well, especially Sydney. Mike only carried her for 10-15 minutes! :) It was nice to get out of Moscow and see some pretty views. We all had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures.

Car Wash

For mother's day, I got a homemade coupon book from Mike & the girls that actually had a lot of useful things in it. One of them was a free car wash and a car detailing. So I cashed it in today! It was really nice and my car looks fantastic now!

Notice Sydney's socks in this picture. She's in to "the roll" lately! I'm going to keep this for back-up when she's a teenager! ha ha

Of course every car wash has to have at least 1 water fight! Livia definitely dominated this one though. It was cute!

The girls also worked really hard inside the car; considering most of the mess was from them! :) My car does look much better though. They are great helpers.

Priest River Visit

Here are a few pics from our visit to Priest River last weekend. We helped my parents with some outside work. Me and my mom were on flower duty! We planted some rose bushes by their pool. My sister Tara and the kids were on pool duty; getting it cleaned and ready for summer! (yeah!) It got up to 90 degree's last weekend, so we all got our first touch of sun! It was fun.







Mike was on weed-eating duty, while my dad was on look-out duty, as usual! He's very good at that! :) Sydney is in the picture to the right, with her cousin, EmmaLee.

To the left is Mike and his brother-in-law, Craig. They were shooting golf balls! To the right are the girls and Tara, sleeping on the trampoline! They had fun and they actually stayed outside all night long! I was surprised. They did wake up with a few mosquito bites though!

Lost in the 50's

Last weekend, we went to Sandpoint, Idaho for "Lost in the 50's". We go every year with Mike's parents. It was a lot of fun and we had very nice weather!!! Here is Livia & Sydney:

All I want for summer is my 2 front teeth!

Well, Livia finally has both of her front teeth missing! She had just got done with soccer and her tooth was literally hanging by a thread, so Mike & I finally talked her into pulling it out. It came out with hardly any effort, on the first try, and she was soooo excited! She didn't even cry this time either! The first thing she said was, "can I call Tara, & Amy, & Heather, & everyone else!" Needless to say she was on the phone for the next 15 minutes, and she insisted that I blog it! Funny girl! She sure does look cute now that she is missing both front teeth now!

Mother's Day

I had a very nice Mother's Day weekend!!! That is one thing that Mike is very good at every year, pampering me on Mother's Day! As you can see below, I got breakfast in bed! Mike and the girls made me a very delicious seafood omlett.

Here is all the gifts I got! I especially like the plant Livia made for me and the home-made coupons. I definitely plan on using them!

After church we had a BBQ with both my sisters, Tara and Heather, and their families, since my mom and dad visited us in Moscow! Of course, Mike was on BBQ duty!

Mike and the girls even ended the day by doing the dishes and cleaning up!!! It is a very rare occasion that Mike does dishes, so I definitely had to take a picture of this one! It was very nice!
