I WON!!!

When we went to the apple orchard earlier this month to pick apples and pumpkins, I submitted a few pictures with a "recap" of our experience to try and win a free take-n-bake pie. If your picture made it on their website, then you were a winner, and mine totally did!!! 3 of them! So now I just need to pick up my pie next time I go to Spokane!!! YEAH!!! Here are the links if you want to see the pictures that "made the cut":

Livia's Barn Dance

As many of you already know, Livia had her annual barn dance last week. It is always so funny to watch children dance, although, I think I could probably do without the chicken dance EVERY year! It gets kind-a old after the 20th time it's played! Livia had lots of fun though, and now Sydney is excited to do it next year! Here are some pics from it:

Happy Birthday Mike!

Mike had his birthday on Oct. 20th, so we had a little family party for him on Monday. He got to have his favorite cake, German Chocolate, with Coconut-Pecan frosting! (gross, I know!) And we made him his favorite dinner, which of course, was breakfast. We made home-made cottage cheese pancakes! (double gross!) With, of course a very small, $9.00 bottle of pure maple syrup to go with it! Very expensive! He got a new shirt and tie, (really what I bought him because he needed it, NOT because he wanted it!) :), and the rest, he got money; since he is impossible to shop for! He also got a game and a U of I hat from my sisters, Tara and Amy. It was pretty fun party.

We all Limboed and played darts with balloons. The kids LOVED that game, because I hid a couple of dollars in the balloons; which they popped. So it was fun. Hope you had a good birthday Mike! Happy 37th!!!! ;)

Carving Pumpkins

Tonight we carved our pumpkins finally! I know it's still 2 weeks early, but me and the girls were ready to carve them LAST Weekend, and Mike made us wait another week! The girls chose their own faces, it was funny. Sydney chose a scary face and Livia chose a smily face! That's kind-of how their costumes this year are too. Livia is going to be an angel and Sydney is going to be a witch. Is this indicative of what's to come in the future?! (If you are wondering why there are balloons on the wall, that's a game for Mike's birthday party tomorrow!) :)

Mike and I shared our pumpkin this year, so we both did it. Doesn't it look cool? Until it gets saggy and the eye falls off! :)

During Church

During church, Livia and Sydney can either draw quietly, or do their quiet book; after the Sacrament has been passed. They are really good about it. Today, this is what Livia drew. I thought it was pretty funny, and very good. She is a good little artist. For those of you NOT familiar with the cartoon, it is a picture of Spongebob Squarepants!

Spider!!!

Look what I found right by my front door on the outside light!!! It has actually been there a long time too, because Mike saw it before he went to Seattle on Monday and he said he saw it even before that! He said it was always in the same spot and he thought it was DEAD! I made him nudge it with a stick to prove it, but it was SO NOT DEAD!!! It is huge!!! And the web was so big and thick, and sticky! I looked it up and I think it might be a Orb-Weaving Spider which I guess are pretty common, and harmless. But it is still nasty!! I HATE SPIDERS! That is one creation I think we could have done without! Here is a video from Livia's camera. It's the size of a penny! Even bigger when it opens it's legs! Gross!!!

Sleep Walking

Every now and then Livia will sleep walk and say some pretty crazy things in her sleep. She is the wild sleeper in the family! This time, I heard someone get up but nobody came to find me or Mike, so I didn't think anything of it. I decided to double check before I went to bed. It was a good thing I did, because Livia crawled in Mike's computer chair in the office and went to sleep! The light was off and nobody was even in there. Who knows how long she would have stayed in there. I knew she wouldn't remember it, or believe me in the morning, so I took a picture just to show her what she did. She thought it was pretty funny! :)
