Summer Fun

Here are a some random pics to show what we have been doing the last couple of weeks.

The girls have been doing lots of swimming in their big baby pool!

Sydney loves to jump right in. She's all or nothing!

Here's a cool flip that one of Livia's friends did.

The girls worked all day at their Kool-Aid stand to earn money for these sunglasses! Don't they look so sassy!?! Sydney actually found a pair that fit OVER her regular glasses really well!

This was very creative. They colored a bag of popcorn with popcorn kernels popping out of it!

Remember this, Cats Cradle? Classic!

The girls have been getting a TON of raspberries everyday from our back yard!

Here's a really pretty picture that Mike took of Tamara.

Lots of bike riding! Sydney's a pro on her 2-wheeler now!

Livia is such a cute little biker chick!

Girls' Photo Shoot

I wanted to practice different settings with our camera and different settings with a new program we are using, so I took the girls on a photo shoot in a local wheat field. It was fun. The girls had fun posing. Here are some of the pictures. If you want to see more of our stuff, check out our photography website, at www.deanphotographs.com.

4th of July Week!

We spent a week at Priest Lake Camping with Mike's family. We try to do it every year with his entire family. It is a lot of fun and we look forward to it every year. This year was really nice, because the weather was really hot every day and I think this was the first year that it didn't rain on us at all! We did lots of swimming, hiking, exploring, boating, tubing, playing, and ate lots of smores! It was great. Plus we had a GREAT view! We camp on an island up there, so you can only get to it by boat, which gives us great beach access, plus less people. We even have to carry our own water with us and everything! But that is REAL Camping!! Camping by bathrooms and showers and for cheater! :) hee hee! We had a blast! The girls' favorite part was the water tubing! They loved it! It was funny to see their little heads bob around! Thank goodness Mike's dad has a boat for ALL of us! ;) Here's our week in a nutshell! (okay, a really BIG nutshell)

Every year, we have a tradition of going on an island treasure hunt, to find the buried treasure that the pirates buried long ago! Here are a few pics from that. The pirates even leave clues on old scrolls and bark pieces! This year the kids found the pirates' chocolate gold coins, and lots of snacks!

We celebrated the fourth with Mike's family as well. We started the night with our own fireworks and sparklers, and then watched the main fireworks on an Indian reservation this year, for the first time, and we were all pleasantly surprised! They were probably the best show I have ever seen, and the longest. It lasted a good 30 minutes. I thought it was the finale 3 times, until the real one came, and then there was NO mistaking it!
