Need Advice!

So this is what we have chosen so far for the house. I keep having second thought about the cupboards though. I don't want everything to clash once it's all installed.

This is what the kitchen cupboards will look like, with a darker brushed metal handle.

This is the counter tops in the kitchen and the bathrooms. (I wonder if I will regret putting the same counter top in the bathrooms as the kitchen?)

This is our carpet that will be in the living room and all bedrooms.

Here is the kitchen & dining room vinyl. We wanted hard wood floors in the living room, dinning room, and kitchen, but it would be a lot extra, so we might do that later ourselves. For now, Vinyl.

This is the vinyl that will go in the rest of the house, the entrances, laundry room, & bathrooms.

Here are the interior doors we like. The one we like for the garage, is identical to our front door, except, the top two small squares are windows. Then the far left door for all the rooms inside. Plus, I think I like a darker handle on them, not sure yet though.

Now, we just need to think about what color we want the outside of the house to be. I like earth tones. Maybe a darker brownish/gray with white or cream doors and trim. I don't know yet!!

New House

Mike & I have been looking for a house to possibly buy, and I think we found one. It is still under construction, but the contract says that it will be done by June 25th, so we will be moving just a few weeks after the baby is born. Good timing right?! I was hoping to move BEFORE the baby was due, but oh well. The good thing about buying the house before it is finished is we get a say in the final look. We get to choose the kitchen, the color of the house, the flooring, etc. So that part is fun, but stressful since I really have no idea what looks good with what. Hopefully it doesn't all clash together by the time we are done. :)

Mike was excited about it being unfinished, because he gets to do his own wiring, and wiring he is! He's going a little nuts I think... He's putting 2 internet wires and 2 cable wires in every room! Crazy boy! But we are saving money by him doing it himself, as long as he gets it all done by tonight!

Livia is standing at the top of the stairs (it's a split level) so the kitchen is to her right and the living room is to her left.

The left picture is at the top of the hill, and the right picture is the back patio area.

This is the backyard, (what we see from the sliding door) It's an ugly forest! We will have major landscaping to do. But it should be nice once it's all done.

Strawberry Smoothie

Oranges & grapefruits helped get me through the 1st trimester.
Baked potatoes & apples got me through the 2nd trimester.
And it looks like Raisin Bran & smoothies will get me through the 3rd trimester.

I found a good and easy recipe on allrecipes.com that had really high ratings, so I have been making them a lot lately. Plus they are only 80 calories per glass and includes fruit & yogurt so it's somewhat healthy! :) If you want the recipe, I posted in on our family's cooking blog:

New Bag!

I heard about someone in my ward who makes cool bags, so I asked her to make me a diaper bag, and I LOVE it! It's a little bigger than I was thinking, but I the extra room may come in handy once it's full with all my baby crap. The strap is long enough to wear around my chest as well.

To see more detailed pictures of the bag, you can see them on her blog at:

Finally Finished!

We have been reading the Book of Mormon for a few years now with the girls. We started out only reading 1 column per night for the first year, then we decided they were old enough to handle 1 page per night for the 2nd year. Now, two and a half years later (maybe even 3 years!) we FINALLY finished the whole book! It took forever, but it is still fun to say we did that together as a family. The girls were excited to finish, and even wanted to read extra the last couple nights so we could finish it! Now we will read it again, but I think this time we will try 1 chapter a night. Maybe then it won't take an eternity! :) Livia even likes to read, she can read the verses quite well!

Easter

We visited mine & Mike's family for Easter this year, where it was cold and snowy; but we still had fun.

On Saturday we went to a community Easter egg hunt. The 1st picture is Livia running for the eggs, and the 2nd one is her not finding any of the plastic ones (with money in them)!

Of course, we dyed lots of eggs! The best part of Easter!

My girls were the first ones to wake up actually - before the other 3 kids. They woke up at 5:50am!!! Mike & I were mean though and we made them stay in bed for another 40 minutes. Although, it didn't do anyone any good, because we could hear them whispering and giggling the whole time! So we let them go upstairs and wake up the rest of the house!

Here are some random family pics taken at Mike's parents' house. The kids got another little Easter egg hunt over there too. They had tons of fun.

The girls love their Papa!
